Chapter-XI
OM SWAMIJI – THY WILL BE DONE
Homage:
1. Arise, awake, why should we fear?
When our Sai and Swamiji are here.
Stumbles, if any, will get cleared
Once, their names and presence are endeared.
2. Inner voice was our Swamiji’s sole guide
Integrity in Bhakti, He analused
And His sayings, we are to abide
Sai’s Charters, He epitomized.
3. Peace radiated His face
People thronged to seek His grace
Bhakti marga, He evoked and
Baba’s blessings, He invoked.
4. An anubhuti of Sai world
‘Anugraha’He ever bestowed
Attuned Himself to the Lord
As devotees’ spiritual guard.
5. With service and silence,
His pathway ‘Sai Ram’ was ever on Swamiji’s lips
Swamiji surrendered everything to Shirdi
And saved every devotee from any malady.
In this janma, Saipadananda Sri Radhakrishna Swamiji was and is the sole master of many devotees. His ‘will’ had shaped their way of life and future and his command guided their activities true to their prayer, “Om Swamiji, Thy will be done”.
To possess this mental poise, a sadhaka must be saturated with faith and prem, soaked in Guru Bhakthi and steeped in saranagathi tattvam. Even to get the saranagathi buddhi, it all depends on Guru’s grace and his command. Grace and command are synonyms in Guru’s benediction. In bhakthi marga, we do not say or act, not even think of anything without first seeking Guru-God’s blessings and guidance. Whatever the command or will of the Guru may be, it is only for the ultimate good of His devotee.
“Thou are all to me, oh, my atma guru, Swamiji”, should be the sadhaka’s prayer. Cessation of strife, conflicts and contradictions and the growth of ‘egotism’ cannot come to a sadhaka unless the sense of ‘I am the doer’ is eradicated. Sense of doership should be completely wiped out from one’s mind for climbing the steps of saranagathi tattuvam. Then only, the cosmic vision of atma’s union with paramatma will open up. ‘No other resting place except Thee, my Swamiji’, should be the sadhaka’s determination to submit to his command. When you turn your gaze inward, you will realize the life of faith getting every command from Him and the lasting truth will be shining around you. One who serves and seeks no recompense finds union with the Lord. Such an atma alone takes the Master’s guidance and on him the divine grace will be poured.
Whoever submits his will to one’s Guru-God, the wage is with the Lord and no fear shall fall on him, neither shall he have sorrow. Guru is the refuge and strength, ever present at the time of our needs.
In a workshop, there are different machines and it is the one electricity which activates all the machines to their respective jobs and the machines take no right to consider themselves as doers. So, we, the humble souls, are purely guided by the will and command of the Guru- God and He is the sole suthradhari and we are only a cog in the wheel of our activities as ordained by Him.
Nothing will give the Master more pleasure than a disciple coming to Him and acts as He commands him. Whenever we submit ourselves to the guidance of a spiritual Master, we have an opportunity to gain knowledge of self or soul through which we can realize fully our hidden potential.
Sri Radhakrishna Swamiji’s prayer was ‘Sayeesa, as you are embedded in my inner cave (heart), I follow whatever you impel me to do and act on it”. Swamiji implicitly and immediately obeyed Baba’s command. In his earlier life, Swamiji, realizing his lack of strength, placed all the burden of his activities on the broad shoulders of Shirdi Sai.
H.H.Sri.Narasimha Swamiji, founder of All India Sai Samaj, once told a devotee “I belong to Sai, the universal, what all I say or do is fully motivated by Him”.
The mere fact that Sri Radhakrishna Swamiji, by his mercy and compassion, has chosen us to be his devotees, is a great blessing he has conferred on us. He has not forgotten us after pulling us to his holy feet and he is resting in us.
He is the one behind the screen and the string is absolutely in His hands. He is the one doing everything from within. The more we obey His command, more guidance and help we are sure to receive from our Master. The master, our Swamiji, will never desert any of his devotees. His power is the same as before, still supervising the destiny of his devotees. But we have to follow Sai’s teachings and march on the path laid by Him. When a devotee has the desire of Master’s darshan, it will be answered in one way or the other. The Guru will give Himself to those who totally present themselves to Him in full faith of Saranagathi tattuvam.
