Vikas ji has retouched his earlier painting and sent the following mail to me to be posted on blog for all devotee .Besides the edited painting I am uploading the painting that Vikas ji has done on Shawl of Baba .This is another great innovative form of worship to God or alternate way of showing our love, by virtue of paper sketch, fabric paitning, fabric sketching .Please read below the complete detail in Vikas ji's mail .Jai Sai Ram .
Saibaba: "There is no difference between me and my photo".
Sairam All,On the eve of Baisakhi,I have retouched my earlier sketch made on paper and attempted providing for bit different, more compassionate & penetrating look, as the seat of power rest in the eyes and we know from Scriptures,Saibaba had glowing complexion and penetrating eyes, as if he is reading through the devotees lives and devotees were not able to look into his eyes for long.
I had picked up the idea of drawing blue eyed Baba from Shivamma thayee’s testimony posted in your blog , as she claims to have seen Sai Baba with blue eyes. This file of painting is compressed (3.6 MB) ,making it easier for full length download, as some of my friends complained earlier of low internet speeds to download the 8.5 MB earlier version.
If this version is liked by devotees,on the eve of Baisakhi, I dedicate this to Sai Kartikeya, whose beautiful & magnetic painting serves as a source of inspiration for many of us including professional artists, "that age is no barrier for devotion".
Below given photo's are of Sai Baba temple near my residence in Andheri(w),Mumbai. They are also hand painted by me.
1.First photo shows Sai Baba's two closest devotees 'Tatya kote Patil and Mahalsapati, on red shawl on Saibaba was sketched by me,when I started drawing few months ago before sketching any Saibaba portrait. It was then embroidered onto the shawl(not fabric painting)by a Tailor master.
2.This photo shows Saibaba shawl fabric painted with Shirdi Chavadi scene on it. The Shirdi Shawl that is on Baba was offered by meto temple in Mumbai .The shawl was professionaly designed and painted by Rakhi Baid .
