We all are blessed to celebrate on this coming 2nd April 2009 a Thursday (Sai day) Rama Navami Festival .

Rama Navami celebration is mentioned in Sai Satcharitra chapter 6 and also narrates the detail how Baba took interest in carrying out this great festival.

Here is a detailed programme of Ram Navami 2009 as published by Shri Saibaba Sansthan Shirdi on its official website which I have tried to put here along with invitation and its detail separately typed below. SHREE RAMNAVAMI FESTIVAL 2009- PROGRAMME .

Opening Day :

Thursday 2-4-2009 Chaitra Sh. 7 Shake 1931 .

4:30 am - Kakad Arti of Shri Sai Baba .
5:00 am - Procession of Protrait of Shri Saibaba and Pothi .
5:15 am - Akhand Parayan of Shri Sai Satcharitra in Dwarkamai .
5:30 am - Holy Bath of Shri Sai Baba and Darshan .
12:30 pm - Mid Day Arti and Tirth Prasad .
4:00 - 6:00 pm - Kirtan .
6:30 pm - Dhoop Arti .
9:15 pm - Thursday's Palanquin and then Palanquin Procession of Shri Sai Baba through the village.
11:00 pm - Shej Arti (on return of Palanquin Procession)

Note :

Dwarkamai Mandir will remain open for Parayan throughout the night .


Main Day :

Friday 3-04-2009 Chaitra Sh. 8/9 Shake 1931 .

4:30 am - Kakad Arti of Shri Sai Baba .
5:00 am - Akhand Parayan of Shri Sai Satcharitra Samapti (Conclusion), Procession of Potrait of Shri Sai Baba and Pothi.
5:30 am - Kawdi Procession (Holy Water Carriers) - Holy Bath of Shri Sai Baba and Darshan .
10:00 - 12:00 noon - Shri Ram Janm Kirtan 12:30 pm - Mid Day Arti and Tirth Prasad .
4:00 Procession of Nishanas (Sacred Flags) .
5:00 pm - Chariot Procession through the village and Dhoop Arti( on return of Chariot Procession)
10:00 pm - 5:00 pm - Artist Programmes .

Note : Samadhi Mandir will remain open for Parayan throughout the night .


Concluding Day :

Saturday 4-4-2009 Chaitra Sh. 10 shake 1931 .

05:05 am - Holy Bath of Shri Saibaba and Darshan .
06:45 am : Rudrabhishek in Gurusthan Mandir .
10:30 am - Gopalkala Kirtan and Dahihandi Programme .
12:15 pm - Mid Day Arti and Tirth Prasad .
06:30 pm - Dhoop Arti .
10:30 pm - Shej Arti .


PROGRAMMES BY INVITED ARTISTS:

Thursday 2-4-2009 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm and 9:30 pm to 10:30 pm by invited artists.

Friday -3-4-2009 from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm by artists.

Saturday -4-4-2009 from 7:00 pm to 10.00 pm by invited artists .

Devotee Please Note:

.Sai Devotees desiring to participate in the Akhanad Parayan may enroll their names at the Temple stage, in Samadhi Mandir on 1-4-2009 between 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Participants will be selected by draw lots at 7:00 pm on the same day.

.Artists desiring to present their programmes on 3-04-2009 may cntact Sansthan Gawal in Samadhi Mandir in advance.

.During the festival period Saisatyavrat (Satyanarayan) and Abhishek Pooja will be performed as usual.

.On all three days of festival Auction sale as Prasad of Sacred clothes, Articles etc offered to Shri Sai Baba will be as usual.

.The Board of Management reserves the right of making alterations in the programme as may be deemed to be necessary.
