(1) About Bayaji's cultivation, there was the strong temptation to plant His lands with sugar cane as so many did. Baba's advice was' "Don't." But Bayaji yielded once to the temptation, despite this advice. A loss of 300 rupees in the money invested on sugar cane planting that was the result of disobedience.
(2) In 1913, Bayaji's father who was over 70 years of age went out as usual on horse back and returned with a stroke of paralysis. Bayaji went to Baba and asked for his udi.
Baba said "I will not give Udhi. Allah Malik Hai."
Bayaji wept and on the 3rd day of the attack i.e., on Kartik Sudha Ekadasi, Sunday, a special and holy day, Bayaji's father breathed his last.
Bayaji used to go to Masjid and massage Baba's leg and he used to boast and feel proud that he had Bhima's strength. So he use to try to lift Baba up in His arms after the massage to carry Him and place Him before the fire.
Many a day he did that ,on that particular day He could not lift Him.
Baba laughed at Bayaji and He put down his pride. That was a Dwadasi day. Baba then taught Bayaji two lessons - not to be proud, and the other not to feel grief for the death of His father.
"Why should you be sorry? In 5 months he ( my father) will come back."
Then Bayajis son was born.
