Shirdi Sai Baba Stories,Leelas and Teachings.: Baba explains how to Reach the state of Absolution (part-4)

After few days Nanasaheb again came to Baba and pleaded to Baba to continue with the Updesh.

Baba pleased with Nana said he will now tell him “ How to reach the state of Absolution (Muktasthiti) which will follow the end of pleasure and pain .One must keep a balanced mind and always think what is good and bad and accept ones destiny.

The natural happenings that happen are ones destiny but that is not destiny which are result of ones deed and action .One who steals are punished hence this is not their destiny, this is fruit of their deeds.Eg a clerk kills his master and takes his place this is not destiny ,after doing this he becomes master and enjoys his masters wealth, moves in car and says he has become happy infact he has sinned by betraying his master and this Karma is added to his existing Karma .This will cause him rebirth .

This is realized by wise one and not foolish, the position which he holded as clerk due to his past karma remains as balance and he prepares himself for next birth. Therefore how can such a person get away from cycle of birth and death? Those who take poison and die this is not their destiny but fruit of their own action.

There are number of graduates who have good high position ,few of them go give lectures whereas some become yogis ,some run shop ,some teach in school etc etc .All of them had taken same effort but followed different professions, You shall now understand that the difference is due to their destiny and is not the fruit of their efforts.

After listening this Nanasaheb said

“Stealing makes one thief and we say it’s the fruit of his deed s” Is it (profession) not his destiny?

To this reader must read carefully what Baba said .He said “Nana you are stretching your imagination and asking me silly questions? There are so many real thieves but they are set free as there is no proof against them .This is their destiny, whereas one you find locked up in jail and other moving out freely as a gentlemen.

Here both of them are responsible for same deed but one is locked and other free .Thus the destiny has nothing to do with what individual do, however the sin of free moving thief will not go unpunished; this will be the cause for his next birth. Therefore I have to tell you to follow the ethical ways while accepting your destiny.

One should always try being in company of righteous people and being away from wicked and undevout ones. One should not eat prohibited food or get involved in dispute or make false promises. If you have given word you should try to fulfill it without grumbling as breaking ones promise takes one away from Lord.

If one is overtaken by bodily desire, enjoy with your spouse only do not give yourself to the desire by seeing somebody else’s wife. have pure enjoyment with your spouse but within limits only, a person with uncontrollable desire does not stand chance to achieve absolution .Kama is the biggest enemy of the 6 .It is of different kind and one must enjoy with full control over Kama .
Tie up the encumbrance of reasoning around its neck and put it under control, instead of you being controlled by It .Those who act like this will be wise .Oh dear devotee limit these 6 enemies only up to the necessity of their use in your destiny .Have the desire for the name of the Lord, anger against unethical deed, hope for absolution fascination for the ultimate object and hatred towards the bad deeds, Win the lord with devotion .Do not give way to pride. Listen to glories of holy men ,keep mind clean, respect the learned and parents..

Mother is the greater than thousands of holy places, father worthy of worship so bow down to him .Love your brothers, take care of sister if you can afford to .Try to treat your wife with care but don’t be henpecked. Consult in household affairs only and do not interfere in your son and daughter-in-laws affairs. Do not disturb their privacy, do not joke with children, do not be friendly with the servants, do not sell your daughter to old man for his wealth, but son-in-law should be gentlemen and should be suitable to the daughter, These principles should be followed while dealing with world.
